To commemorate World Tree Day, PPA involved its employees in the Tree Seedling Distribution Program which was held on Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan Sudirman, South Jakarta, on Sunday, December 1, 2024. This program’s aim is to contribute to handling climate change by distributing 500 tree seedlings, including orange and sapodilla, to the community. In addition to supporting environmental sustainability, this activity is also in line with the shareholders aspirations to encourage a work-life balance through direct employee involvement in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) program. In addition to distributing tree seedlings, employees also participated in the reuse movement by collecting used spunbond and plastic bags that were still suitable for use as seed packaging. With the addition of these 500 seedlings, throughout 2024 PPA donated a total of 1,000 trees across Medan, Jakarta, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar. It is hoped that this contribution will help reforestation, produce oxygen, and reduce carbon emissions for the sake of preserving the earth.
